our 5 core values

We believe in a faith that is real, relevant, and effective. These five values are what drive everything we do:

  1. Prayer is Plan A:[PRAYER:URGENT & PASSIONATE]  We believe prayer is the non-negotiable power source that moves us from just talking about mission to actually doing it.  (Romans 8:26-27; Matthew 18:18-20; 1 John 5:14-15; James 4:3; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

  2. New Identity in Christ: [GRACE:NEW LIFE IN CHRIST] It’s not about working hard to be good; it’s about receiving a brand new life and identity through grace. (Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 15:5; Philippians 4:13; Colossians 1:26-27; Romans 6:5-7)

  3. The Bible for Real Life: [TRUTH:GROWING THROUGH HIS WORD] We look to God’s Word for comprehensive truth on all the tough, real-world issues—from work to relationships. (Colossians 2:6-8; Matthew 7:24-27; Hosea 4:6; John 8:31-33; Colossians 1:15-17; Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 4:8)

  4. Jesus is Our Center: [IDENTITY:JESUS CENTERED]He’s the single most important part of who we are. Every ministry, event, and message begins and ends with exalting Jesus. (John 15:4–5; Ephesians 4:15–16; Matthew 6:33; Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 3:3-4; Colossians 3:17; Psalm 27:4)

  5. Community Across Generations: [INTERGENERATIONAL:CONNECTING GENERATIONS]We are intentionally breaking down age barriers to build a strong community where all of us—young and old—are connected and growing together. (Acts 2:46-47; Ephesians 4:1–6; Genesis 17:7; Exodus 12:14; Hebrews 10:24-25; Deuteronomy 6:1-7)

what we believe

  • We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the verbally inspired Word of God, authoritative, inerrant, infallible and God-breathed. (Matthew 5:18; Luke 24:27, 44; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • We believe in one Triune God, existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – eternal in being, identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:18-19; John 10:30, 14:8-9, 15:26; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 2:9)

  • We believe in God the Father, of whom are all things. God is infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness and truth. (Nehemiah 9:6; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:8)

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice. We believe that our redemption and salvation is guaranteed to us by His literal physical resurrection from the dead. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1, 14, 18, 6:50-58, 20:20; Romans 3:24-26, 4:25; 1 John 3:8). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted to the right hand of God, where as His people’s High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of intercession and advocacy. (Hebrews 1:3, 3:1, 7:23-25, 12:2; 1 John 2:1-2)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. In the present age, He also regenerates believers in Christ, baptizes them into the Church (the body of Christ), indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption, bestows spiritual gifts upon each one, and fills those yielded to Him. (John 3:8, 14:16-17, 15:26-27, 16:7-15; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:4-13; Ephesians 2:22, 4:30, 5:18)

  • We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin, the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, became alienated from God, and is totally unable, without God’s grace, to regain its former position. (Genesis 1:26, 3:1-24; Psalms 14:1-3; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12)

  • We believe that salvation is a gift of God in grace, and is received by man through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. (John 1:12, 3:16, 5:24; Acts 3:19-20, 4:12; Romans 5:1, 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; 1 John 5:11)

  • We believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Christ forever. (John 10:27-30, 17:11; Romans 8:1, 29-30, 38-39; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 5:13; Jude 24)

  • We believe that the Church, the body and bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age, irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations. (1 Corinthians 12:13-23; Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27; Colossians 3:14-15)

  • We believe in the personal, imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His own, the Church, and His subsequent premillennial return to earth to set up His Kingdom. (Zechariah 14:4-11; Matthew 24:15-25, 46; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, 4:13-18; Revelation 20:6, 21:1-4)

  • We believe that the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do, at death, immediately pass into His presence, and there remain in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming for the Church, when soul and body reunited shall be associated with Him forever in glory; but souls of unbelievers remain after death in conscious misery until the final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of the millennium, when soul and body reunited shall be cast into the lake of fire, not to be annihilated, but to be punished with everlasting separation from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His power. (Luke 16:19-26, 23:43; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:11-15)

  • We believe that all believers should seek to walk by the Spirit, not bringing reproach upon their Lord and Savior, and that separation from sinful pleasures and practices is commanded of God. (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1; Galatians 5:16, 25; 1 Peter 2:11) We believe that it is the obligation of every believer to demonstrate by life and testify by word to the truths of the Holy Scriptures and to seek to proclaim the gospel to all the world. (Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8) We believe that it is the responsibility of all believers to remember the work of the Lord in prayer and to support it with their means as the Lord has prospered them. (Luke 18:1; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 5:16)

  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper to be observed by all believers until His return. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 10:47-48; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
